FOR DOGS

Here are some remedies and recommendations for taking care of your dog:

If your dog has fever,
cough,
and a running nose,
according to my grandma
what he needs is a necklace
made of
strung grilled lemons
and pieces of corncobs.
Look how cute your dog looks now
even thought
he still has a running nose!

And beware
of feeding your dog bread,
especially out of the oven.
It will stick to his guts.

My Grandma says
never ever
pull your dog’s tail
because it will give him the runs.

Love your dog. He is the one who will be waiting by the river in the Mictlan, the Land of the Death, to carry you on his back to the other side.
