Yuyi wrote lyrical verses for a song titled,\u00a0Cascabelito Migrante<\/em>, which she intended to perform in her Pura Belpre Medal acceptance speech in 2019. When Yuyi could not perform the song due to time constraints, she filmed a video instead.<\/span><\/p>\n Cascabelito Migrante<\/em> is a direct homage to the song, Cascabel, <\/em>an old son jarocho standard. Son jarocho is the a genre of folk music native to the state of Veracruz, Mexico, where Yuyi resides.
